FINANCIAL WELLNESS TRAINING

Financial Wellness

Our Financial Wellness programs are implemented by our financial industry partners and consist of 18 hours of training.  Courses include but are not limited to:

  • Banking 101: Creating and Managing Checking and Savings Accounts.  Bank Accounts are Also Opened On-Site for those Trainees Who Are Interested,

  • Budgeting 101: How to Establish and Manage a Personal Budget,

  • Credit 101: How to Establish Credit,

  • Identity Theft: How to Prevent Unauthorized Use of Your Personal Information to Reduce Scams, Protect and Insulate Your Credit Rating, Unauthorized Opening of Accounts in Your Name, Criminal Records Being Created in Your Name, and the Cashing of Checks Made out to You or the Leveraging of Your Credit Without Consent,

  • The Fundamentals of Money Management: Investing, and

  • Home Ownership: The Preparation Needed for Home Ownership

Trainee-Client Goals

The goals of these courses are to help our Trainee-Clients:

  • Be informed and prepared to be effective managers of their financial resources, enabling them to achieve long- and short-term financial goals and security.

  • Be engaged in establishing career goals that will provide adequate income and personal fulfillment.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of personal financial planning and money management skills.

  • Understand personal consequences and impact of financial decisions.
